Great notes from a Peter Thiel lecture series here.
Here is an essay version of my class notes from Class 4 of CS183: Startup. Errors and omissions are my own. Credit for good stuff is Peter’s entirely.

Despite looking like they have been captured on a camera, these are actually hand-drawn images created by hyperrealist artist Paul Cadden.
The 47-year-old, from Scotland, is able to recreate photos in amazing detail, often just using only a pencil.Taking an average of between three and six weeks to produce, Cadden creates about seven pieces each year - which usually come in A1 or A0 sizes - and sell at galleries for up to £5,000 each.

For all the foodies and epicurean lovers in Seoul…finally tried ‘The Spice’ a while ago, a joint set up by uprising culinary chef Edward Kwon. (pics of the braised rib & lamb shank) The food was all perfectly cooked to my palate, the presentation was pleasing, and the service was impeccable. I really enjoyed most of the dishes- each one had an intense, well-balanced fusion of flavors, aroma, and textures that were complementary.
The ambiance was nice and I liked the wide-open feel, but the setting was kind of thrown off by a switch between red and white lighting. Not to mention the tacky disco balls..although I appreciated the eclectic decor of the venue I think they could’ve done without that. It’s definitely a worthwhile visit and lives up to the hype for the price point. Looking forward to the chance to try out LabXXIV..
